We are muck ducks, as Rob Van der Loos would say. Love muck diving, and one of our very favorite places to dive is Lembeh Strait. We hadn't been there since 2007, and it's still just as magical as it was then.
Prior to this trip, we had always stayed at Kungkungan Bay Resort, which we loved for the great guides and comfortable resort. But KBR changed hands and lost a good part of its staff since we were last there. We decided to give Lembeh Resort a try this time, which we'd always wanted to try before but our affection for KBR kept bringing us back there instead. We were not disappointed in Lembeh Resort. Great resort and food, good guides, and a cottage with a beautiful view (albeit up in Nepal country). We had a grand time!
The diving was superlative too. More blue ring octopuses than I could count, including a mother carrying her eggs. Tiger shrimp, soft coral crabs, pygmy seahorses, ribbon eels, wonderpuses, flambos, and the typical array of weird stuff. We were only here a week, but saw a tremendous amount!
There is an extended gallery, and a short selects gallery. My suggestion is to explore the selects gallery. There are also three slideshows, one for PC (exe), one for Mac (App) and one for most everyone else (Flash). Please enjoy!
